Birthday Bonanza

Yesterday I turned 20. I'm in my Twenties. I'm not a teenager anymore.

I had a pretty fabulous day. I woke up to find that McHandsomepants took the day off work.

I spent the morning watching an episode of Grand Designs. Gave myself a facial and 20 minutes time out from everything. Went to the city. Had Starbucks. Picked out my Birthday present from McHandsomepants. Found that my Business class got cancelled. Went back to the city. Bought myself a pair of Sunglasses (50% off). Watched bad TV on the couch with a cup of noodles. Wore a dress I've never worn before and didn't care what people thought. Had a wonderful dinner with my family. Had drinks with a few of my closest friends and fell asleep next to the man I love.

I think my Twenties are going to be my best yet.

Somewhere

I don't know who Sofia Coppola is and I'm not going to pretend to. I do know that she made two of my favourite movies though: The Virgin Suicides & Lost in Translation

Please go see this.

The Satorialist

I love this mans work.

Home Sweet Home

It has been exactly a month now since McHandsomepants and I moved into our new place together and it has actually been fun. I've always wanted to have my own little apartment and now I do.

Part of the fun is decorating. Finding nice things to buy and cute ways of displaying them to make your place unique and essentially, you.

Most of the time the place is a little unkempt. Couch cover stuffed down the back of the couch, magazines and paper over the coffee table, bed unmade and cables everywhere.

Come fly with me

At the start of December I took a trip to Sydney to visit my oldest friend, Sam. We hadn't seen each other in about a year and a half so we thought it was time for a little catch up.
Whenever we do have time and money for these little trips, we just pick up our friendship from right where we left it, it's just so easy for us. Though, the hardest part is trying to catch up on a years worth of each others lives in the short three day period we have together.

This trip was just about relaxing together and eating (what we do best).

After I arrived in Sydney, we stayed in the City for the whole day exploring, shopping and eating. We ended up at The Rocks Markets, the new Westfield Shopping Centre and Darling Harbour for afternoon cocktails. Well deserved.

We took a walk along the coast to get Breakfast and read trashy magazines, ate Max Brenner Chocolate that I bought down from Brisbane, watched The Bodyguard, devoured Nutella, took a spa together and had home made High Tea on her front porch.

It's her turn to come visit me next, but who knows when that will be. I can say for certain though, we will have a good time.

2011

I'm a few days late but I guess it still counts - Happy New Years Blogiverse! Welcome to the future. Don't get your hopes up though, we still can't teleport.

I spent my New Years at the annual Woodford Folk Festival in Woodford, QLD, Australia. Mum and her partner drove myself and McHandsomepants up for the day. For once in my history of visiting the festival, it was sunny and warm. Spirits were high - literally. We went up for the day not knowing what to expect and not knowing any of the performers. After re-acquainting myself with the layout of the festival, McHandsomepants and I spent most of the day under shade on a hill outside one of the main stages. We ate lots of good food, got lost and took a nap in the shade by a small river then woke up to some young up-and-comers having a jam right next to us. Woodford.

I really hate that I haven't been blogging as much anymore. After moving house I thought things might get back to normal or at least that things might pick up and I would have too much time to blog, but who knew I would still be having fun hanging out with my boyfriend almost all day, every day. I have so many photos to share with you and so much to tell you about my trip to Sydney, my move, Christmas and gifts and Shopping.

I promise I will make time to share all these wonderful things with you in the next week before I go back to work - instead of watching trashy Pay T.V like 'Paris Hilton: My new BFF' - You can only imagine the look of disgust that I will have on my face when I read that sentence later, that will forever be imprinted on the Interwebs.

For now, I will continue to listen to what my Itunes considers to be the "90's" selection of music from my playlist.

Goodnight and Sweetdreams
